THE LEAD: The Oklahoma City Thunder got big games from Kevin Durant, who went above 30 points for the 30th time this season, and Serge Ibaka, who had at least 20 for the fourth time in his last six games, to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 86-77 on Monday at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Durant just missed a triple-double with 31 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Ibaka had 21 points and 12 rebounds for his 19th double-double. Reggie Jackson added 12 points. The Thunder (39-11) have now won 11 of their last 12 games.

Memphis lost for just the second time in 13 games. The Grizzlies (26-21) had four players in double figures. Both Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol had 13 points, and Randolph added 13 rebounds for his 30th double-double this season. Both Courtney Lee and Mike Miller finished with 11.

The Thunder held Memphis to 39.5 percent shooting overall and just 12.5 percent (2-for-16) on 3-pointers.

QUOTABLE: "I thought we did a good job of playing tough defensive basketball. Sometimes you have to play different styles to get a win. On the road we won playing small and tonight we did a good job of playing big and winning."
-- Thunder head coach Scott Brooks

THE STAT: In the fourth quarter the Thunder held the Grizzlies to just 26.3 percent shooting overall, a season-low for that period, and 1-for-6 (16.7 percent) beyond the arc.

TURNING POINT: The Thunder went on a 20-4 run to close out the second quarter and turn a one-point Memphis lead with 6:27 left to a 15-point Thunder lead at halftime. That run gave OKC the breathing room it needed to hold the Grizzlies at arm's length when they rallied later in the game.

QUOTABLE II: "The second half was much better than the first. We played from too far behind, we gave them 51 points and lots of layups in the first half. It was very difficult for us because when you try to come back you have a very small margin for error."
-- Grizzlies head coach Dave Joerger

HOT: The Thunder had 16 points in the paint in the first quarter on 8-for-12 shooting. ... Ibaka was 6-for-9 at the half (12 points). ... Durant was 6-for-10 (15 points) in the second half.

NOT: Memphis finished the first half shooting 39 percent (16-for-41) and 0-for-5 from beyond the arc. ...Tayshaun Prince was 1-for-7 in the first 24 minutes. ... Gasol was 1-for-5 in the first half (five points). ... Durant was 1-for-5 on 3-pointers in the first half. ... OKC was 2-for-12 on threes in the first half (16.7 percent). ... Memphis was 2-for-11 (18.2 percent) on 3-pointers in the second half.

INSIDE THE ARENA: It was the 138th consecutive sellout inside Chesapeake Energy Arena. Among those sitting courtside: rapper Kia Shine wearing a throwback Grizzlies jersey.

GOOD MOVE: Late in the second quarter Thunder rookie center Steven Adams blocked a shot from Prince and Thunder guard Thabo Sefolosha left his feet, grabbed the ball and, as he was falling into the courtside seats, tossed it behind his back to Durant, who led a fastbreak.

ROOKIE WATCH: Adams played almost 23 minutes, scoring three points and grabbing five rebounds.

NOTABLE: The 77 points by the Grizzlies were the fewest they've scored in a game this season.
